CARE GUIDE

All fabrics we use are made of natural fibers and are naturally strong and durable if treated properly.

  • Machine wash at low to medium heat (40ºC / 104F), gentle cycle, with like colors.
  • Let dry on a rack or in the dryer at low temperature (40ºC / 104F), gentle cycle.
  • To avoid shiny iron marks, iron inside out at medium-high or with a cloth in between the garment and the iron.
  • Do not bleach.

Since all fabrics are unwashed, some color fading and slight shrinkage are expected with the first wash. Linen has a 7-10% shrinkage, which means that it will shrink a bit but not so much as to change its sizing. If you fall on the bigger end of a size bracket, we suggest sizing up for a more relaxed fit.

Our fabrics will drape and move better with time as it gets worn and used.

Mending

Linen and cotton are strong and durable fabrics; however, some thinning can occur in high-friction areas. We don’t offer repair services at the moment, but we always encourage mending the garments yourself. Mending techniques like sashiko or visible mending are trendy now and can add a fun detail to the garment. Or use invisible techniques like darning by machine. Youtube has a lot of tutorials!

If you can’t mend them yourself, bring your garments to your local alterations service provider.

If you need fabric pieces of the same color as your garment, please contact us at hello@yukibuttons.com.
