FIT GUIDE

YukiButtons general size chart

The best way to select the right size is to know the wearer’s measurements: bust, waist, and hips.

How to take measurements

To take measurements, you’ll need a flexible measuring tape.

If you only have a flat solid ruler, find a string, twine, or anything similar you have available that is long enough to wrap around the body. Follow the measuring instructions for each body part, making sure you mark where one end finds the other. Then measure your mark on a flat ruler.

How to measure each body part:

  • Bust: Measure the fullest part of your bust all the way around.
  • Waist: Standing straight, with your hands on the side bend to one side. The bending point on your torso is where your waist is. Measure around that point.
  • Hips: Measure around the widest part of your bottom.

Try to keep the measuring tape as parallel to the floor as possible for all measurements.

Other measurements:

  • Torso: Measure vertically from the side base of the neck to the higher hipbone, over the bust. Most of the time, we’ll provide the garment’s measurement. The best would be to compare this measurement against one of your tops to see how it would fit you.
  • Armhole or armscye: Measure around your arm starting from the end of your collarbone at the shoulder, all the way around and across your armpit. Most of the time, we’ll provide the garment’s measurement. Take that measurement and compare it against your armscye.
  • Arm length: Starting from the end of your collarbone at the shoulder to your wrist.
  • Rise: For bottoms, measure from your waist straight down to your crotch.
  • Inseam: For bottoms, measure from your crotch straight down to your ankle.

Choosing the right size

Once you have the wearer’s measurements, check the size chart and choose the size based on the critical measurements for each type of garment:

  • For the overalls, the important measurement is the hips.
  • For the tops, blouses, and dresses will be the bust.
  • For the bottoms, the important measurement will be the hips and waist.

If they fall on the bigger end of a size, we suggest sizing up.

If you don’t know the wearer’s measurements, you can follow the size conversions for the US and Europe shown in the same size chart.

Length adjustments

We offer complimentary length adjustments on all of our Made-To-Order garments.

Just leave us a note in the ‘Customizations’ box with either of these details:

  • Length you like to add or shorten.
  • Total length of the garment you’d like.
  • Your height.

Length adjustments can be made on:

  • Overalls: torso and/or inseam.
E.g., For someone who is 6ft tall, we’ll usually add 2 inches to the torso and 5 inches to the inseam.
  • Tops and blouse: body, sleeves or straps.
  • Bottoms: the rise and/or inseam.

If we have any questions about your request, we’ll contact you via email to discuss and confirm the adjustments needed.

Please note that any sale for a customized garment is final and is not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

Other fitting adjustments

  • Waist adjustment for bottoms: When the hip measurement falls on one size, but the waist falls into another, we can merge both sizes for a better fit. Available with “Customizations flat fee” purchase.
  • Armhole for tops: Armhole, sleeve, or strap adjustments can be made to any tops and blouses. Available with “Customizations flat fee” purchase.

If you fall in between sizes or different parts of your body fall on different size brackets, we can adjust the sizes in the garment for a fee.

If you don’t see your size in the chart, it means we haven’t graded the pattern size yet. We are working towards a more size-inclusive range, but we are not ready to expand it yet.
